Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Support technical projects in the RnT and series programme&39;s perimeter

  • Build simulation models and validate them by measurement

  • Develop passive and active noise treatments for existing and future aircrafts

  • Propose and assess low-noise designs and technologies

  • Perform trades/multidisciplinary optimizations at aircraft level 

Your role will involve some limited business travel in Europe and as such you must be able to travel, accordingly

Desired skills and qualifications
  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics or equivalent 

  • You have knowledge in the vibro-acoustic perimeter

  • You have programming experience with numerical methods, (e.g. Python, Simulink / Matlab) 

  • You feel comfortable to take on own projects and include stakeholders

  • You demonstrate a positive and collaborative mindset and a passion for creating a good team spirit

  • Your open-minded attitude and proactive personality helps you to drive change, solve problems and convince others

  • You are able to easily negotiate in English; an advanced level in German is a plus
