How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Finance Rotational Development Program provides two complementary 18-month assignments in areas such as Treasury, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, and Division Controllership, among others, to enable participants to explore different parts of our business.

Participants are given opportunities to both work as members of teams and take individual ownership over activities including the identification of key business issues, completion of comprehensive analyses, and preparation of informative materials for senior leaders. The finance team at Delta is a key contributor to the continuing evolution of our business model for long-term success. Program participants receive focused attention to help grow their interdepartmental network as well as professional development opportunities. In addition to the rotational aspect, the program offers opportunities to network with senior leaders across the organization, work on a cross-divisional project to gain exposure to other areas of the business, and mentorship opportunities.


What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • You are a senior in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of Fall 2024 or/Spring/Summer 2025.
    • Candidates who have graduated and are employed full-time will not be considered
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Atlanta, GA office.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to interpret data, use it to form concrete business actions, and present findings.
  • You are a creative problem solver with a familiarity of economic concepts.
  • You can work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • You thrive in team settings. You collaborate well, learn from others, and use your skills to help them.
  • You are a proactive, clear communicator.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. 
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. 
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. 
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • You are a Senior in an undergraduate program with a concentration in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or another analytical discipline
  •   Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision making. 
  • Ability to develop effective presentations that help explain a need, the analysis and the findings and recommendations to leaders in an efficient and effective manner. 
  •  Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on difficult to solve challenges of our customers.
  • Ideal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills
  • Internships/Co-op/Extracurricular experiences are recommended.
