Role Introduction

Reports to: Finance Business Partner

This position is for the finance business partner who will serve People related departments. This role will not only facilitate the regular accounting services to the BUs, but work together with BUs as partner to facilitate BU budget and forecast, operating performance, cost monitoring and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial business partnering

  • Partner with the Director and People department teams to develop a financial awareness and BU strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business, its objectives, challenges, and key drivers.
  • Provide insightful business performance analysis and performance trending on a regular basis to support management decision making.
  • Supports business case development for project investments applying appropriate financial analysis and risk assessment.

Financial analytics

  • Provide business performance analysis through the interpretation of results and explanation of drivers of variance (e.g. Monthly Reporting packs)
  • KPI Review: performance KPI review with BU and each Director on a regular basis
  • Provide assistance to BUs in relation to cost monitoring and performance review
  • Support DPPL team’s review on horizontal costs across departments, Hong Kong and Regions
  • Coordinate preparation of Annual/Interim Business Reviews presentations
  • Support corporate transactions and ensuring technical account implications are aligned with financial reporting team.

Financial planning

  • Prepare budget and regular forecasts, including the annual budget and 3-year plan, and quarterly reforecasting (including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow, project related budget / forecast);
  • Meet with BUs to review forecast and budget numbers
  • To assist with any other ad hoc budget analysis
  • Led the team to perform financial digitalisation transformation initiatives.
Requirements
  • Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Big four working experiences is preferred. Recognised CPA / Accountancy qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years accounting related experience gained from a recognised audit firm.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Cantonese/Chinese
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
  • Experience in using SAP advantageous
  • Strong communication skill to all levels in the organisation and agility to work within a team environment
  • Strong analytics and reporting skills in producing reports, documentation and presentations
  • A quick learner with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated and attentive to details
