Your role
Kick-start your career with the Aer Lingus Finance Graduate Programme—a three-and-a-half-year opportunity designed for ambitious graduates who dream of becoming future Finance Leaders in Aviation. We are looking for graduates to join our team in September 2025!

Over the course of our three and a half year programme, you’ll rotate across different roles within our Finance function, gaining hands-on experience and insight into a dynamic, fast-paced industry.

You will rotate through different roles within our finance function, getting exposure to the below responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the completion of timely robust monthly financial statements for core areas of our business (eg fuel, airport charges, maintenance and engineering, revenue).
- Ensure monthly commentary of analysis against relevant drivers is documented within PA across all cost areas.
- Responsible for budgets, forecasts and business plans (covering Capital Expenditure (“CAPEX”) and Operating Expenditure (“OPEX”) elements) for the business areas.
- Provide Finance Business Partner support to the executive and senior management, through the development of business cases and support for various performance improvement initiatives.
- Support group reporting, through the preparation of quarterly financial accounts pack to our parent company.
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory financial statements prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards for Aer Lingus group entities.
- Supporting users of finance systems, including our SAP, our industry leading accounting software.
- Involvement in a variety of ad hoc projects including technical accounting research, enhanced reporting and finance process improvement initiatives (lean, robotic process automation etc).
Your qualifications and key criteria
- You must have graduated with a minimum of a 2:1 in a level 8 Undergraduate Degree or Masters Degree in the last 12 months or be expecting to have achieved this result by Summer 2025.
- Your degree must be in a discipline that promotes an analytical mindset. A finance-specific degree is not vital but a confirmed interest in pursuing a career in finance and a willingness to study towards an appropriate professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is essential.
- Proficient level of skills in Microsoft Excel as well as Word and Powerpoint.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide 2 verifiable references.
- Able to pass an aviation security vetting process, that includes an enhanced background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.
- *If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
