We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team and support our RB211 engine program. The intern will work closely with the Finance Manager and other key stakeholders, gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, cost management, and budget tracking within the aerospace MRO sector. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field to apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis related to the RB211 program, including budget vs. actual comparisons, cost forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Cost Management: Support the tracking of maintenance and repair costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses. Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Data Management: Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accurate and timely data entry for expense tracking, invoicing, and purchase orders.
- Budget Assistance: Help with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing support during month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
- Invoice Processing: Assist in reviewing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate allocation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the finance, procurement, and operations teams to understand key cost drivers and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare financial documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders, including summaries of key financial metrics.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about the aerospace and MRO industry.
- Prior internship or coursework in finance, accounting, or aviation management is a plus but not required.
