Tasks
The Finance and Tax Specialist is responsible for:
- Checking and processing of the GST monthly data for GSTR1 in the local tool or through any other method
- Checking of the reports, preparation and filing of all statutory returns - monthly/quarterly/annual returns under direct and indirect taxation EG GST TDS etc
- Preparation of Income Tax/ GST returns viz GSTR1, GSTR2A, GSTR2B, ISD, GSTR9 etc and assist in review of submissions prepared by consultants
- To maintain a current list of all topics pending with consultants including assessments, and liaise with Tax Consultants on a proactive basis for the company/companies you are handling
- To navigate the Organisation through the present and the proposed changes in the GST regime impacting the business environment
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- Professional Financial Accounting degree or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of experience of work in corporate taxation
- Preferably out of Tier 1 or Tier 2 Consulting Firms/companies
- Should have handled GST filing across a few states
- Several years of work experience in the area of Financial Accounting and corporate tax compliances
- Good knowledge of MS-Office products especially Excel
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
- Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken
- Diligent, independent and systematic approach to work
- Team player
- Ability to prioritise work flows
- Courteous manner and social skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Ability to deal with complex issues
- Must possess a legal work permit in India
