PAL Aerospace is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in St. John&39;s, NL for a term of approximately 15 months.
The Financial Analyst collects, analyzes, and delivers financial information to support business decisions, budgets, forecasts, and actual result.
Working in the finance forecasting team on site at St. John’s, you will be responsible for preparing timely assessment of budgets and forecasts. You will use PAL systems to support accounting and treasury with monthly and annual profit and loss statements. As a member of the finance forecast team your analysis will be supporting financial decisions for the business units operating under PAL Aerospace. As a member of the finance team your input required to develop operating metrics, performance indicators, and business processes.
As an intermediate finance role, the successful candidate would have experience in a accounting environment coupled with project reporting experience. The candidate would be very comfortable using the Microsoft Office software suite and a power user of Excel. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and WinAir software would be an asset. As a candidate you would have completed your business or accounting education and on a path to your CPA designation.
Duties:
- Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports for business units and projects to stakeholders.
- Extract expense and revenue data from PAL financial systems and report trend analysis to stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver profit and loss, revenue, and project forecast to stakeholders.
- Support and prepare business intelligence including key performance indicators, financial, and operational metrics.
- Review and Itemize project change orders and apply to project file.
- Monitor new purchase orders and apply purchase information to project files.
- Support Accounting and Business offices
- Ad hoc requests.

- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel
- The ability to excel in a team environment and contribute to a diverse team.
- Completed your technical training or bachelor’s degree in business finance or accounting.
- On a pathway to your CPA or CPA designation would be an asset.
