POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is to contribute to the financial activities of the corporation including the preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and margin improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
- Assists with accounting reconciliations, period closings, and internal auditing.
- Supports financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Assists with external audits
- Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
- Collaborates with multiple departments to prioritize initiatives
- Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Leads real-time financial performance monitoring.
- Sets and tracks key performance indicators KPIs) and objectives.
- Completes market research and comparable company analysis.
- Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
- Uses popular financial planning and analysis software.
- Assists with future merger & acquisition projects

Qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor•s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.
- Professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred.
- Five years• experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
