PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Financial Management: understand and manage costs and opportunities associated with services:
    • Budgeting:
      • Gather budget requirements for IT capital and operating expenses
      • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
    • Accounting:
      • Track how money is spent by MIS teams and Business projects
      • Propose and publish budget KPI (Key Performance Indicator)
      • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Charging:
    • Secure payment from customers for services provided (reallocations)
  • Act as Finance and Procurement liaison:
    • Prepare RFPs and RFQs with associated decision files
    • Create, update, coordinate and follow up IT purchase orders and invoices
  • Demand Management:
    • Anticipate and alert on any license renewal issue
  • Other assignments as they come up
  • Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience or related experience.
    • Two years experience with budget control responsibilities with one year financial analysis experience, preferably in an IT-related environment
    • Proven Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial modelling
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
    • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, high regard for accuracy and top-quality work.

    ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Accounting or Finance experience
    • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
    • Knowledge of license management

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Fast paced office environment.
    • Must be available and willing to work non-business hours, weekend and holidays as required
