Job Description SummaryThis role will be responsible for a key business process within the Strategic Partnership finance organization across all the commercial product line teams as well as commercial channels (including pricing, services, spare parts, repairs, and used serviceable material). This work will enable a deeper understanding of the Company’s discounts, the contractual requirements for the Partners to share in those discounts, and the ultimate recoverability of discounts to increase profitability of our contract structures.

The role will lead process simplification and improvement to establish standard work of all types of discount-sharing with the Partners.

This role also provides the exciting challenge of working directly with the Commercial Partnership Team and cross functional collaboration with product line business operations, finance, sales, and pricing teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implement and document standard work across all discount-sharing recoveries within the Partner contracts.
  • Own the identification, quantification and execution of the discount sharing processes to maximize profitability.
  • Work to continuously improve the processes, recommend system improvements and outcomes of the services discounts sharing processes.
  • Gain thorough understanding of the material and non-material related discounts portfolio (MSA, business plans, warranties & concessions, distribution, expendables) to understand and identify discount sharing opportunities with the Partners. 
  • Oversee the execution of all discount-sharing recoveries for services.
  • Identify gaps (including analysis and quantification) within current processes and incremental discount sharing opportunities within current Partnership contracts.   
  • Create knowledge expertise across T&Cs, discount behaviors & product lines.
  • Support analytics and reporting capability for all discount-sharing processes.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and applies them to current processes.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university or college
  • 5 years of experience in Services/Commercial/Engineering/Supply Chain/Finance
