Role Introduction
Reports to: Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager – Technology & Data
The Procurement COE team is responsible for establishing and promoting best practices, driving standardisation, and identifying areas of continuous improvement of the S2P process across the procurement function. In addition to driving discipline and efficiency across the organisation, this team will also enable knowledge / capability management and provide support to the category team on strategic procurement best practices.
This role is to support the Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager – Technology & Data in developing and executing technology strategies that help to drive procurement excellence, enhance efficiency / compliance, and ensure data accuracy in the source-to-pay process. Together with Technology / Digital team, this individual will be accountable to deliver system capabilities and tools that support business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement e-procurement initiatives or enhancements that can drive procurement excellence, enhance efficiency, and compliance in the S2P processes.
- Liaise with Procurement Global Process Owners (GPOs) and category teams to streamline and digitalise end-to-end S2P processes.
- Provide internal subject matter expertise on e-Procurement technologies to improve system adoption, performance, and reliability.
- Work closely with IT team to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot e-Procurement technologies.
- Maintain e-procurement platform (Ariba) and ensure stable operation to support whole procurement function.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Keep management update on industry trends and best practices to develop and implement strategies for platform growth and improvement.
- Work with change management team to develop training content.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Procurement, IT, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Solid knowledge of e-procurement platforms and their capabilities, including but not limited to: SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle.
- Good understanding of procurement fundamentals and the procurement lifecycle that can be supported by the e-platform (i.e., supplier relationship management, data management, sourcing, contracting … etc.)
- Good understanding of user experience design principles to enhance platform usability.
- Understanding of IT systems and their integration with e-procurement platforms.
- Ability to utilize reporting and analytics tools within the platform along with user feedback to drive insights for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, especially to management and other diverse stakeholders.
- Prior project management experience will be an advantage.
- Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, attention to detail, and ability to drive results independently.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
