List of Tasks:

  • Strictly adhere to Airbus Ethics & Compliance policies, following norms & governance defined in Airbus Code of conduct.
  • Search & Invites suppliers to receive quotations along with price and lead times. Support in negotiations with local suppliers.
  • Receive, process & record Materials Requests (MR) in dedicated Order Log Book for tracking purposes (Excel).
  • Responsible for creating Purchase Orders in SAP system, and get approval from the purchasing manager or team leader according to assigned threshold.
  • Schedule incoming & outgoing shipments for delivery & returns, also report damaged goods.
  • Logistics coordination for imports/exports between supplier & the operative base in Al Kharj.
  • Identify and report any possible risk during supply chain process and provide suggestion as mitigation action.
  • Participate in vendor relationship management, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Responsible for supplier performance KPIs & quarterly visit to Supplier facilities to ensure proper communication, understanding and to address all open topics and ongoing issues.
  • Responsible to review and control the end-to-end procurement process, as well as all strategic sourcing and logistics activities for products and services to be delivered to the customers.
  • Contribute to strategic sourcing and improving plan based on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) with an objective of cost reduction, supplier quality, assurance of supply and supplier innovation.
  • Support new requests from different stakeholders, Logistics coordination between main office (Riyadh) and the project site (Al-Kharj) including support for imports/exports.
  • Support unscheduled maintenance such as AOGs & Findings, especially to support supply of goods procured within Middle East.
  • Ensure priority is understood to support MRO & meet target fleet availability, leading to ultimate satisfaction of end-user.
  • Follow quality requirements for each hired supplier to be part of Airbus preferred supplier list, ensuring all necessary approvals, certifications, and legality in the region.
  • Weekly visits to Projects for follow-up MFTs with fellow stakeholders for better understanding while promoting Airbus values such as teamwork, respect, integrity, creativity, reliability & customer focus.
  • Responsible to searching new local suppliers within Middle East with suitable capabilities and capacities to provide services meeting quality and regulation requirements.
  • Review supplier NDAs and coordinate validation process by all parties.
  • Responsible for supplier on-boarding process by ensuring all requirements are met as per Airbus standards.

Person Specifications:

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree, major in Business Management, Supply chain or related field is preferable.
  • Very high level of English, both spoken and written. Arabic will be plus.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in procurement related organization being part of a local Airline or MRO
  • Good communication skills, stakeholders management and able to work under pressure
  • Active & Motivated. Should act as role model for rest of the team.
  • Skills in computer software, mainly experienced in using Airbus Tools, ERP System, Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of A330 parts and suppliers with preference with local suppliers in Saudi Arabia.
  • Knowledge of procuring process including quotation, purchase orders and deliveries phase.
  • Knowledge of quality and aviation regulation requirement applicable to purchases of A/C parts
  • Hard working. Multi-tasking. Should poses leadership skills & promote team dynamics.
  • Able to learn quickly and work independently
