Job Summary


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Finance the Program Finance Analyst will work on site with our team in Bedford to provide financial support and analysis in the management and execution of company programs in order to ensure key financial program objectives are achieved. Work closely with company financial staff to ensure program costs, inventory and other related company accounts are accurately reflected and maintained. Interface with key senior business unit staff to provide information and analysis in support of company programs


As the Program Finance Analyst, your main responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):



  • Provide support of the Financial & Program Analysis management functions to the department

  • Understand the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Strategic Guide Plan

  • Process and help prepare program bookings, revenue, operating profit, investment and cash flow data

  • Understand how job costs are collected and billed on all contract types

  • Provide oversight for the Financial & Program Analysis functions of the company;

  • Conduct difficult analytical studies, monitor trends and be able to accurately interpret the results;

  • Understand Contract design and structure to include: FFP; CPIF; CPFF; IDIQ; Foreign Military Sale (FMS); and International Direct Commercial Sale (DCS), and, competitive and sole source procurements;

  • Program & Finance: Basis of Estimate (BOE) preparation; Budget preparation, reporting and management; Cost & Variance Analysis; Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS); Estimate at Completion (EAC); Cash Management/Working Capital; Forecasting;

  • Return on Investment (ROI); Audit preparation and management; and Program Review preparation;

  • Support Proposal Preparations including: Bid – No Bid requirements; Cost Estimating; Pricing; RFP Review; Risk Mitigation; and Negotiation;

  • Support Program Managers in the preparation of difficult program EAC’s and other financial/costing analysis;

  • Monitor and forecast program cash flows and actively manage with Program Managers;

  • Load GL data/forecasts into the Corporate reporting tool  (HFM); and

  • Assist with other projects, as assigned


What you require to be successful in the role:



  • Understand advanced financial analysis principles and have financial analysis skills

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Maximize IT utilization through electronic commerce and ERP/Oracle implementation

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures

  • Possession of degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field from a recognized post‑secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A minimum of two to five (2-5) years’ experience in program finance

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Officce Suite (especially Excel and with Pivot Tables)

  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and an in-depth working knowledge of the Cost Accounting Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, and International Financial Reporting Standards

  • Must follow company safety policy

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
