JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II

Summary:
Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and covers using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
Sew covers and work with materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather, and composites.
Cut and surge carpets, and cover/install panels, bulkheads, and windows.
Fabricate and fit various metal parts, cabin headliners, sidewalls, and hatch panels.
Use the material tracking system (Corridor) to manage parts demand, track issues, and sign off completed work.
Collaborate with lead technicians to develop process improvements, enhancing safety, reducing costs, and improving cycle time using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, and use personal protective equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and hand tools in upholstery and carpet trades
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and understand English proficiently.
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
Competent in using measuring tools and performing basic math calculations.
Must be computer literate.
Capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working any shift.
