JOB TITLE: Senior Upholstery Technician

Summary:
Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and assemblies.
Interpret material specifications and design drawings to ensure compliance with requirements.
Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all panel styles while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Use the material tracking system (Corridor) to manage parts demand, track issues, and sign off work.
Cut and install advanced custom carpets with unique patterns.
Assist with Lead responsibilities, overseeing projects and delegating tasks.
Conduct safety audits and assist team members in maintaining safety standards.
Maintain shop equipment and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping policies.
Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Work with Lead and senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years of upholstery experience, including 2 years in aircraft upholstery, or 6 years in commercial upholstery.
Advanced knowledge of upholstery, sewing processes, and custom carpet installation.
Knowledge of inspection and process specifications.
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Ability to read blueprints and engineering documentation.
Computer literacy required.
Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
