Job description

Workplace Coach - 01

The Workplace Coach will be responsible to coach and train less experienced team members in the current best method of manufacturing.  Enabling team members to accelerate the learning curve and prevent poor quality.  Play a significant part in process development and improvement.  Act as a mentor to all team members.

** 2nd Shift **

Job Duties

  • Will use strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills to coach and train less experienced mechanics to improve their technical proficiency.
  • Monitors production activity through KPI’s to assist in determining where coaching might be the appropriate countermeasure to employ.
  • Stays up to date on critical skills to improve the training process.
  • Provides regular feedback to the training team to improve and upgrade the training curriculum.
  • Fosters a continuous training program on the factory floor to all team members.
  • Possess a deep understanding Lean and SEED (Solutions for Excellence and Empowerment by Daher).
  • Resolves difficulties encountered through coordination and interface with other organizations by modifying methods/procedures to increase efficiency and meet new/changing conditions.

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • 7&43; years of Sheet Metal Mechanic experience
  • Working knowledge and experience applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes and Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Working knowledge of ergonomics and safe work practices.
  • Willing to work any shift
  • Experience with MS Office products
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Must be a Team player
