Job Title: Assembler
Job DescriptionUnder limited supervision, the assembler performs electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build and assemble units of moderate complexity.
Responsibilities
- Work from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire, and install a wide variety of components.
- Identify and select components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
- Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
Essential Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift, use hand tools, and work well with others.
- 1+ years of consistent working experience.
- 6+ months of manufacturing work experience OR other relevant mechanical experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong willingness to learn.

Work Environment
Brand new manufacturing facility in Lenexa - climate controlled - very nice building and atmosphere. 1st shift: either 5am - 3:30pm or 6am - 4:30pm Monday-Thursday, with availability for Friday overtime as needed. Must be open to starting shift at either 5am or 6am, as it differs per department. 2nd shift is 2:30pm - 11pm Monday-Friday. Must be able to train on 1st shift for at least 2 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.
