Core Responsibilities:
- Set –up and operate CNC Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements.
- Primary duties will be on Multi-Axis Laser (5 axis) and Hyper Gear Laser (2 axis).
- Understand the multi-axis laser control system and safety precautions.
- Familiar with the Trumpf control pendant operation-screens, menu bar and error messages.
- Set-up the machine for production- loading material, homing the laser head and starting the machine.
- Load and run existing programs as well as setup new programs into the system.
- Become proficient in error recognition and diagnosis as well as machine recovery.
- Develop working knowledge of DNC system for retrieving, storing and recovering programs.
- Become familiar and follow the software quality assurance procedure.
- Performs all activities required to complete a visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs and flaws, and repair if possible.
- Performs those activities, and operate equipment (fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers, height gauges) associated with determining the dimensional attributes of the part to determine if the part meets the required tolerances.
- Train other associates to run the lasers.
- Capable of operating hand tools in order to complete secondary process requirements.
- Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
- Responsible for the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Reports problems to supervisor for assistance.
- Performs other duties including cross-training as required.Qualifications:

- Able to communicate verbally and / or in writing with other employees, team members and supervision as necessary.
- Must have fork truck license or capable of acquiring one.
- Able to use “shop” math to add, subtract, multiply, or divide and may work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
- Must be able to read and interpret operation sheets.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds.
