Description:
Company specializes in designing, fabricating and testing of lightweight Aerospace Structures.
The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines using Fanuc and Siemen Controllers, including both 3, 4, and 5 axis. They will perform high quality-low volume machining of metal, composite, and graphite parts in a Aerospace Production environment.
This role requires expertise in Mastercam and a solid understanding of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. The NC Programmer plays a critical role in transforming designs into precise, machine-ready instructions to drive our CNC-controlled machines for aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production machine tools
- Select and mount appropriate tooling for machining operations
- Determine the appropriate feed and operating speeds for efficient machining
- Perform cut off, trimming, counter sinking, drilling, and other machining operations
- Verify the dimensional accuracy of machined parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand machining requirements
- Uses computer aided manufacturing software to create CNC Machining Programs to aid in the manufacturing of flight and tooling machined components.
- Generates associated tool list and setup sheets for CNC Programs.
- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.

Requirements:
- General level requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years’ experience, or a total of 10 years’ experience in the related field, or 5 years’ experience with 5-Axis
- Expert level requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years’ experience, or a total of 15 years’ experience in the related field.
- Machining Certificate
- If you have completed 8,000-hour apprenticeship program for the Machinist trade, or equivalent in training, and demonstrated 4 or more years, you may be considered for our Journey level position
