Role OverviewPay range: $26 - $34
As a Composite Inspector, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that composite materials and parts meet the highest standards before being used in critical aviation systems. From initial material inspection to final product assessment, your expertise will guide the quality control processes that keep our industry on track.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesIncoming Inspection: Verify supplied composite materials meet required specifications.
In-Process Inspection: Conduct inspections during the layup process to ensure consistency and quality.
Final Inspection: Perform comprehensive inspections of completed composite parts to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
Work Order Package Review: Ensure all documentation for completed inspections is accurate and complete.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years’ experience in composite inspection or fabrication and mechanical inspection
Basic understanding of quality terms, definitions, and concepts
Proficient with hand tools such as scales, calipers, and micrometers for accurate measurements
Ability to identify and document inspection errors/nonconformances
Basic calibration knowledge
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand key and critical characteristics
Knowledge of traceability (product, material, and calibration)
Comfortable with basic mathematical operations and measurement conversions
Preferred Qualifications2+ years of aerospace industry experience
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system

Pay Details: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour
