Job Description

We are seeking a Composite Technician with at least 1 year of experience in using composite materials and hand tools. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, maintain stable performance under pressure, handle stress, and meet deadlines. They should have the ability to read, write, understand, and follow safety procedures, as well as lift and manipulate heavy objects. Knowledge of paint prepping and priming methods is essential.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, clean, repair, assemble, and close out components.
• Maintain a close working relationship with the assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts, supplies, and tools.

• Experience with composite materials, including Fiberglass, Carbon Fiber, and Kevlar.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring tools.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.
• Experience with paint prepping and priming methods.

• Prior experience with measuring out curing chemicals is a plus.

Work Environment

The role involves moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 70 lbs and standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day. The work environment has minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals. However, there is moderate exposure to dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.

The shift is from 5 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, following an AWS 4x10 schedule.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
