Over 3000 FRASCA simulators have been delivered worldwide. 


Purpose of Position

Frasca is hiring for an experienced Fiberglass Technician. This position is full-time with benefits on a day-shift schedule


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Applying basic laminating, trimming, fitting, bonding and assembly skills.

  • Laminating parts by applying polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins.

  • Spraying chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds

  • Cutting, bending, forming, sanding, grinding, and gluing using a variety of materials.

  • Trimming excess materials


Qualifications

  • Experience working with fiberglass and/or other similar fabrication materials required

  • Skilled at using general power tools and fabricating equipment.

  • Must have demonstrable ability to work with different types of materials including fiberglass, body filler, and/or painting equipment.

  • Auto body work experience or training a plus.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds generally much less.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include excellent close vision, good color vision and recognition, and ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock.

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
