Pratt & Whitney’s Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) Module Center is currently seeking a dedicated, experienced engineer with creativity, drive and a desire to advance the production process capability of organic matrix composites (OMC) within the Composites, Impact, Manufacturing & Analysis (CIMA) organization. The Composites Production Lead is responsible for military OMC Phase 5 production hardware initiatives, proactive and reactive, and management of CT-based manufacturing development lab.
What You Will Do
- Supplier engagement, including site visits, to ensure strong communication and escalation of production issues.
- Tracking & closure of nonconformances and execution of producibility improvements
- Collaboration with supplier quality, ESA, operations, strategic sourcing
- Membership within CIMA Leadership Team and CIPT Leadership Team, including external and customer communications
- Read across production learning to development programs
- Site manager for Goodwin lab facilities
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years prior relevant experience, OR
- An Advanced Degree in Engineering and 7+ years experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proficiency in all production quality processes
- Knowledge of composites blueprint and specification best practices
- Expert knowledge of composites manufacturing processes
- Background and/or familiarity with composites design, analysis & test
- Active security clearance

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
