The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Planner to join our team in Seattle, WA. The selected candidate will support fabrication planning and installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and support in the Factory during the build/installation. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) programs.
As a Manufacturing Planner, you will review aerospace designs for producibility, create procurement plans, create installation plans, solve technical issues, learn the process from design to installation on aircraft, and identify process improvements and risks. This position performs production engineering related work for commercial and military aircraft. The selected candidate will work with a cross-functional team including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, implement and maintain various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration
- Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
- Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
- Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met
- Develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements
- Manage tools from initial design to end of use disposition
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues
- Perform producibility assessments for part or product designs
- Provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules
- Develop integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments
- Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements
- Work under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Associate’s degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 4 or more years of equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- 1+ years of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting basic engineering drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
- Experience in support of commercial and military customers.
- Experience in Project management
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Boeing BCA/BDS/BT&E Manufacturing Engineering experience in Systems Lab Test.
- Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp etc.

Summary pay range: $69,700 – $94,300
