Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Fleet Operations Coordinator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be based in Saint Augustine, FL.

  • Will operate on 1st shift with a 4/10 schedule – Monday through Thursday

Job Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Walk Fuel Island and inspect tanks and containment area.
  • Update fuel inspection log.
  • Change unleaded and diesel fuel usage log as needed, If required.
  • Walk long haul fleet capturing mileage from tractors to update in Fleetmate (mileage from prior week’s travels).
  • Review and sign invoices.  Assist with creating work orders in Fleetmate for daily invoices.
  • Update out-of-service vehicle log as needed.
  • Contact or respond to customer requests pertaining to vehicle repair status.
  • Assist with door traffic and repair comebacks.
  • Escort non-badged vendors.
  • Order misc. parts as needed.
  • Coordinate repairs with outside vendors and dealers.
  • Transport vehicles and trucks to vendor’s shop for repair and maintenance
  • Monitor and execute PM services on all highway commercial equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience in mechanics and or/record keeping
  • Must have basic mechanic skills (i.e. able to change batteries and tires, minor troubleshooting on material moving equipment from carts to medium duty vehicles)
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles (potentially in the dark at times and for up to multiple hours at a time)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a non-CDL driver file
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable time period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of material cargo securement
  • Prior experience with DOT and Fleet administration or coordination.
  • Knowledge of Class 5 - Class 8 vehicles
  • Handle tasks independently with minimal direction and guidance, including the ability to prioritize project activities and be detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in testing procedures, testing documentation, and security of testing files are required.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality, personal integrity, and dependability.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain security and confidentiality.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with various individuals, exercising tact and discretion.
  • Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service at all times.
Salary Range: $36,300 - $60,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
