Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Inspector - Receiving to support the Site Operations function in Huntington Beach, CA!

Position Responsibilities:
- Receiving inspection of all types of purchased parts, components, assemblies, details, and materials
- Work from applicable blueprints, customer specifications, and vendor catalogs, Company process specifications, and outlines to inspect all types of purchased parts, components, details, assemblies, and materials. Make surveillance checks of all functional tests conducted in the receiving area, visually inspect items for damage and workmanship and verify that purchase order requirements and inspection outlines are completed.
- Setup and use various precision measuring equipment such as height gauges, dial indicators, calipers, thread gauges, micrometers, and special gauges. Also, use checking fixtures, templates, magnifying glasses, magnets, scales, and inspection stamps for inspection on surface plates, optical comparators, air gauges, hardness testing equipment, and special testing equipment for determining distortion in glass or plastics.
- Prepare rejection tags noting deviations from blueprints or specifications. Stamp or otherwise approve acceptable items and complete paperwork as required.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
High School diploma or GED
More than 3 years of experience performing product or process inspections using engineering released requirements and specifications
More than 3 years of experience working with measurement and testing equipment.
More than 3 years of experience using computer systems for office and shop application
Typical Education / Experience:
High school graduate or GED. Prefer a minimum of one (1) or more years of related work experience.
Additional Information:
The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
