Duration: 5-6 months
The Laboratory for Materials and Processes (LMP) supports the design and production departments at key points in the life cycle of helicopters from research and development of new materials to testing and qualification, repair solutions and environmental aspects. Within the LMP, the &34;Systems&34; department with its sub-areas &34;Functional Surfaces&34; and &34;Preservation and Servicing&34; is responsible for the development and qualification of new materials and processes, such as paints, lubricants, cleaning agents, conductive adhesives, sealants and many more.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Tests on paints, conductive materials and consumables as part of qualification programmes.
Independent work in the laboratory (e.g. sample preparation, mechanical tests, microscopic evaluations, documentation of test results)
Support in the qualification of materials and processes within the framework of the replacement of hazardous substances (REACh regulation)
Updating and maintenance of internal material database
Cross-site material & process harmonization Qualifications
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full time student (d/m/f) in the field of materials science, aerospace engineering or comparable course of study
First practical experience desirable
Knowledge in MS Office / Gsuite
Softskills: ability to work in a team, organizational talent, autonomy
Language skills: German fluently (mandatory) and English (B2)
