Job Description:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. We have exciting opportunity as an Inventory Data Entry Clerk to work out of our USAF ICP group located in Poway, CA.

Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for one or more project/business/technical units. Maintains, processes, reviews, and compiles a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records, statistics, timelines, tables, correspondence, and presentations, which requires tact and discretion in handling. Provides data and information requiring some explanation or interpretation. Primary contacts are within the department with occasional contact with management and representatives of outside organizations. Detailed instructions are provided for new activities or special assignments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accumulate and coordinate data, prepare and/or process input for reports, maintain records and files, and perform various clerical duties.
  • Understanding MILSTRIP procedures is essential for processing military supply requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with part number cataloging is needed to accurately identify and track inventory items.
  • Experience in records maintenance is vital for ensuring compliance with audit and accountability standards.
  • Supply chain knowledge enables effective management of procurement, storage, and distribution processes.
  • Research and coordinate with various agencies to determine valid part numbers for the material being entered into the GOLDesp inventory systems.
  • Catalog and maintain multiple indicative data fields for all part numbers entered into the GOLDesp inventory system.
  • Work assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • Verify data received and make necessary corrections.
  • Consolidate data in areas of responsibility for inclusion in department reports. Maintain files and records relating to specific reporting activity.
  • Type material required for various letters, memos and reports.
  • Knowledge of sales orders processing helps ensure timely fulfillment of customer or internal requests.
  • Aviation experience supports logistics and maintenance operations critical to flight safety and readiness.
  • Experience in military logistics is necessary to navigate the complex supply systems supporting defense operations
  • May compile, record, and track pertinent data on computer systems and research government data bases.
  • May be required maintain inventory level supplies or equipment related to department activity and/or reporting requirements.
  • Having a thorough understanding of USAF Technical Order Systems and BOMs preferred.
  • Update/link database systems via hyperlink and references maximizing data source information and user capability. Other duties as assigned to required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Require a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years experience in a field related to the specialized functional area or unit where assigned.
  • Must possess the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities.
  • Ability to identify issues and solve routine problems.
  • Good analytical interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document and report.
  • Full knowledge of computer operations and applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as well as the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
