In the role of Machinist youll perform various machine operations in cutting and shaping a variety of materials to precision dimensions. This position contributes to our vision by:
tSetup and operate CNC equipment such as CNC lathes and CNC mills, and/or setup and operate manual equipment such as tube bending machines, mills, engine lathes, chucker lathes, and surface grinders.
tSetup and operate secondary shop machinery, such as band saws, drill presses, various tool grinders, abrasive saws, vibratory tumblers, etc.
tPerform inspection of parts using various precision metrology instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, etc.
tDocument part inspections during part runs to ensure conformance to specifications.
tPerform manual deburring operations.

Job Requirements:

At Safran Electrical & Power, we seek service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, adaptable to our innovative and evolving environment.

•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent. Some college or trade school preferred.
•\tRequires a minimum of three years related experience
•\tComputer literate; proficient with common programs - Intermediate
•\tUnderstanding of G and M code programming - Basic
•\tGood manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination; familiarity with various precision measuring equipment; good understanding of the working qualities of various materials; commitment to excellence and high standards; versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm; acute attention to detail; ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
