Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, responsible for a variety of activities within the material control function in support of manufacturing. Maintain accuracy of materials and data entry.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:

• Interpret route cards and/or material request forms to ensure accurate movement of materials. 
• Ensure request is handles for replacement material such as scrap, DMT or miscellaneous issues. 
• Move materials to the correct location through inventory transactions using appropriate systems. 
• Responsible for tracking of parts requested to support Manufacturing schedules. 
• Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles as required. 
• Responsible for assigned equipment.
• Work with others as a team on dispatching functions. 
• Complies with all company safety regulations. 

• High School Diploma or GED required. Related expediting and/or material handling experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Material handling experience and a Valid Driver’s License are required.

Additional Functions:

• Ensure housekeeping in work area and comply with all company safety regulations. 
• Learn and apply Lean concepts within functional responsibilities. Supports a continuous improvement culture including lean principles, sustainability initiatives, ergonomic improvements, safety, and cross functional teams.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Able to pass math and reading assessment.
• Capable of working in an automated system.
• Demonstrate experience in materials coordination.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
