This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located at the Kennedy Space Center, FL site.
Role description & Responsibilities:
The Logistics Material Handler is responsible to directly support control, inventory, and distribution of tools, material or property to manufacturing operations.
Job Duties:
• Works safely, takes responsibility for personal safety and safety of teammates
• Ensure materials and tools are correct
• Ensure calibrated tools are controlled and calibration current
• Ensure materials and tools are delivered to the right locations
• Ensure materials and tools are processed on time in support of established schedules
• Ensure inventory is accurate
• Seeks and lead continuous improvement of material and tool handling processes
Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 1:
• Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency operating forklifts.
• Candidate must be able to work independently to rigorous deadlines with minimal supervision
• High School Diploma and 0 years or work related experience.
Basic Qualifications for level 2:
• Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency operating forklifts.
• Candidate must be able to work independently to rigorous deadlines with minimal supervision
• High School Diploma and 2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Preferred:
• Experience with logistics/warehouse.
• Experience in computers and computer processes.
• Experience working in the aerospace industry.
• Experience working under the safety and security requirements of a secure government facility.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Skills & Qualifications:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
• Ability to read and follow policies / procedures
• Ability to work under a deadline
• Ability to work hours necessary to meet business objectives. This may include working overtime (40+ hours in a work week)

Salary Range: $31,200 - $50,900
Salary Range 2: $36,300 - $60,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
