The role: Materiel Supplier

A vacancy has arisen for a Materiel Supplier working within the Supply Chain team at BAMG.  The role is required to support the Production organisation by ensuring the receipt, storage and distribution of aircraft materials and tooling to meet operational and maintenance requirements in a cost effective and timely manner.  Materiel Suppliers need to be flexible and able to interface with other departments and staff across the airline.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships are required to deliver successfully.

What you’ll do: 

  • Transact aircraft materials in accordance with the current technical procedures and processes.
  • Ensure good storekeeping practices and quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain stock accuracy via a cyclic audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Exercise personal responsibility and reasonable care in preventing harm to yourself and others by ensuring that safe working practices are observed at all times.

What you’ll bring to British Airways: 

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT literate and have the ability to learn the required systems for the role.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Must have the ability to work a shift pattern.

Your experience: 

  • National 5 Qualifications (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Full UK driving licence, category B for manual transmissions (minimum of 12 months driving experience with a full licence)
  • Already hold or ability to acquire a Counter Balance forklift licence (with training).
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain logistics (desirable)
