Job Title: Shipping & Receiving - Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift - $18-$20/HRJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving - Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves handling small electronic devices and components, ensuring that they are received, packaged, and shipped accurately. This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for direct placement.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and verify contents against packaging slips or purchase orders.
- Package customer orders securely, ensuring items are properly protected for transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and ensure timely delivery of customer materials.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and performing periodic stock checks.
- Organize received materials for storage in designated warehouse locations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing warehouse tasks.
- Utilize proper lifting techniques to safely handle and move heavy packages.
Essential Skills- Experience with electronic parts, inventory, shipping, and receiving.
- Knowledge of inventory control, packaging, cycle counts, and use of pallet jack.
- Proficiency with RF scanner, data entry, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with FedEx, ERP System, SAP, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to operate reach truck, sit-down forklift, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong computer skills and experience in warehouse operations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a GED/HS Diploma.
- Must have two years of shipping and/or receiving experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with bills of lading and unloading.
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory and packing.
- Ability to handle material handling tasks and order picking/packing.
