Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Tactical Fighters Business Unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
- Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.
- Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)
- Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
- Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
- Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
- Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years or more of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Masters degree and minimum of 3 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight.
- Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution.
- U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel.
- SAP experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
- Secret DoD Clearance
- Proficient in Earned Value Management Systems
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
- Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS
Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
