Summary:
We are seeking a Machining Quality Specialist/Inspector to join our quality team, with a focus on automation and process excellence in a high-volume, high-mix inspection environment.
This role is crucial to maintaining our commitment to product quality and precision.
Complete Inspection Ownership: Oversee the inspection of units per the inspection plan, including manual inspection, paperwork review, and data analysis. Coordinate with source inspectors to ensure quality compliance.
Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs): Write detailed NCRs, verify rework outcomes, and provide feedback to CAM and engineering teams to address root causes.
Technician Training: Train technicians on manual and mechanical inspection tools, ensuring high competency levels across the team.
Technical Supervision: Oversee manual inspections, ensuring adherence to quality standards without direct management responsibilities.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead process validation, provide technical feedback, and oversee the release of processes to production, adjusting as needed.
Required Skills:
2+ years of inspection experience in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with hand and mechanical inspection tools.
Ability to read blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience in high-volume inspection roles with stringent tolerance requirements.
Desired Skills:
PC-DMIS programming experience.
Aerospace inspection experience.
Machining experience.
Familiarity with optical measurement devices.
