Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute with limited guidance the design, testing, analysis & evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
  • Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements based on your specialized knowledge and skills
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments
  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams as well as mentor others in the EMS organization
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in program and technical reviews, document results, and prepare or lead invention disclosures where appropriate

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in disciplinary engineering and science

  • Strong technical aptitude related to manufacturing and systems
  • Ability to guide, influence others and lead small teams
  • Demonstrated success in a cross-functional team environment
  • Knowledge in computer and machine programming
  • Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering position
