Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Shipping/Receiving Summer Assistant will report to the Logistics Group Lead and assist the Shipping/Receiving team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shipping/Receiving

  • Receiving non-dangerous goods for CAE in Moose Jaw
  • Filing of invoices and delivery receipts
  • Deliveries to and from the hangars several times a day (9, 11, 1, 2:30) as required
  • Shipping of courier mail (documents outsides CMAT)
  • Inspection of all vehicles for logistics, gas, cleaning.
  • Operate mobile handling equipment (pallet Jack, hand carts)
  • Assist in the performance of other stores function when required
  • Maintain box inventory
  • Maintain recycling program
  • Inventory count on Hazmat PPE
  • Assist in summer cleaning of the Cold Storage and Cold side of Hazmat Building

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Proof of registration in a post-secondary educational institution in the fall semester 2024.

Other Required Training or Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and set priorities, willing and able to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to recognize opportunities and suggest ideas to Project manager and customers as needed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Experience in JIRA will be considered an asset (Project management tool).

Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations
