Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Maritime Electronic and Information Warfare (MEIW) Operating Unit (OU).
This role is full-time remote
What Youll get to do:
Collaborate with various organizations such as Program Office, Business Management, Contracts, Engineering, E&P and other GSC personnel
Defines and develops material strategy
Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)
Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products
Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements
Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
Creates/releases requisitions
Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements
Supports buying community throughout purchase order placement process
Manages suppliers to ensure on time deliveries
Supports baselining/EVMS requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field; OR a Masters degree and 6+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field
U.S. Citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel
Demonstrate success in managing complex issues/problems related to program execution
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or financial planning
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
Proficient in the use of SAP
Earned Value Management
Forecasting and Variance Analysis
Salary Range: $103,200 - $154,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
