Senior Procurement Buyer

Urbana, OH hybrid

As a Senior Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible foroverseeing strategic level suppliers. You will play a pivotal part in ensuringefficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignmentwithin the procurement function. You will manage complex procurement projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.

You will report directly to our site procurement supervisor, and you will workout of our Urbana, OH location on a hybrid 3 day on-site and 2-day remote workschedule. You hold a vital role within our organization due to your elevatedexpertise. Your strategic acumen in procurement and purchasing is instrumentalin steering the organization toward efficient and cost-effective operations.You will maintain and establish robust supplier relationships, directlyimpacting our financial well-being and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Maintain reporting for root cause analysis/countermeasure implementation to solve complex problems.  Process management and countermeasureimplementation through escalation with internal and external stakeholders.

•   Monitor and control procurementcosts, seek cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and optimizeresource allocation. 

•   Develop and execute a comprehensiveprocurement strategy that aligns with the organizations goals, ensuringcost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity.

•   Collaborate with departments keyleaders to support supply continuity and compliance to meet Key PerformanceIndicators targets by mitigating risk of downtime, supply gaps, and customerimpacts through quick reaction and countermeasure development

•   Foster and maintain strategicrelationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable andresponsive supply chain, addressing concerns and resolving issues.

•   Ensure that all procurementactivities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internalpolicies, maintaining accurate and organized records.

•   Establish and enforce quality controlstandards in procurement processes, conducting regular inspections andperformance assessments that align with our QMS

•   Leverage technology solutions, suchas procurement software and analytics, to enhance procurement processes,monitoring, and reporting.

•   Continually develop communicationnetworks, both internal and external to ensure operational success anddepartment awareness.  Work withSuppliers, Quality, Engineering, Fabrication, Spec Ops, Product Offering, andSales when implementing input changes that will generate changepoints tobuyer-controlled suppliers.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

•   Minimum of 4+ years of experience inprocurement or supply chain management
•   Strong negotiation and contractmanagement skills
•   Excellent leadership and teammanagement abilities
•   Proficient in procurement softwareand tools
•   Ability to thrive in fast pacedenvironment addressing many signals to ensure supply continuity
