Position Summary
The Material Handler performs routine manual duties in the handling of materials that supports all aspects of the production operation including; kitting, transfer of materials, attending stockroom, materials distribution; and following established procedures. The Material Handler-Water Spider must be able to perform job duties as defined in the Standard Work Chart. Additionally, the Material Handler-Water Spider must also perform the essential functions for the shipping/receiving area.
Responsibilities
1.Responsible for performing essential routine tasks involving the replenishing and distributing of materials to the manufacturing floor within the Standard Work Chart.1.11. This includes delivering required materials to the Business Cell(s) on a determined frequency.
2. Retrieve all finished goods/kits from each individual Business Cell(s) for finished goods inventory.
3. Interfaces with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service and other departments to reconcile concerns affecting inventory accuracy.
4. Maintain daily inventory transactions.
5. Accurately pulls material for kits according to production orders. Full understanding of FIFO system.
6. Checks and fills shortages in kits or work‑in‑progress.
7. Assists daily with data entry of all stockroom and shipping transactions.
8. Required to do cycle counting and to assist in the annual inventory of the entire stockroom.
9. Following established procedures, service all stock requisitions.
10. Must be cross-trained in all shipping/receiving duties and responsibilities
11. Suggest methods for continuous improvement.
12. All other job duties as assigned by Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent; plus at least two (2) years Receiving/Shipping experience.
2. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
3. Ability to multi-task is essential.
4. Good organizational skills required.
5. Knowledge of basic math skills.
6. Demonstration of good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships is required.
