In addition, this employee shall be engaged in the inspection of aircraft materials and non-aircraft materials, tooling, parts and components, to ensure they are duly certificated in accordance with Transport Canada and Company regulations and are in acceptable condition and meet Company standards.Responsibilities:
Perform daily auditing, shipping, receiving, inspection, issuing, order processing, unserviceable processing and stocking of inventory and update the internal ERP system accordingly.Preparation and shipping of part orders to outlying bases.Coordinate delivery of AOG’s (Aircraft on Ground), including customs clearance of AOG parts after hours when needed.Action reports i.e., Time expired material, issued out parts/tooling & wheel rotation.Understanding of customs regulations and prepare shipping documentation.Handle and ship dangerous goods traveling by air.Monitor and maintaining inventory to right levels and consult with Supply Chain in Canada for any requirements.Have a good awareness of dangerous goods and hold a DG shipper’s qualification, in Compliance with the current IATA DGR, Canadian Transportation of goods Act and other relevant governing bodies.Classify, Identity, Package, Mark, Label, and document Dangerous Goods (upon successful completion of the Air Canada exam for Dangerous Goods for Shippers).Ensure Air Canada corporate guidelines and policies are always adhered to while working in a safe manner.Able to lift up to 45Lbs.Be initiative-taking while managing workload and priorities.Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained as per health & safety guidelines.Monitor temperature & humidity of storage areas.Collect/deliver aircraft parts to from Cargo or from other brokers – On or off airport property.Other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsPrevious Airline experience in Maintenance, Tooling, Warehousing or Purchasing is an asset.Be proficient with PC Software – Outlook, Work, Excel.Hold a valid drivers license.Be able to work with little supervision.Be motivated to find solutions to part shortages.Be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.Be available to Travel, often on short notice.Be available to remain outside of GRU for several nights to support Line Maintenance as required.Be able to travel to Canada for Training or meetings.Hold a valid Passport with no Travel Restrictions.Ability to pass security clearance and obtain the local security card.
