NACS has an opening for a Principal /Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is an on-site position and will is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist, a successful applicant will define and develop material strategy for a program, group of programs, or product line.

Job Description

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is the focal point for managing a Program Supply Chain throughout the Program’s life cycle from pursuit to contract close out. The position acts a core member of an Integrated Production Team (IPT) and is the primary liaison for GSC with internal customers, including Program/Business Management, as well as suppliers. The position is responsible for:

  • Program-specific SCM strategy, demand planning, BOM maintenance, coordination w/ logistics and procurement stakeholders, development of Material Program Plans (MPP), and risk management.
  • Managing the performance of the integrated supply chain cost, quality, & delivery.
  • Material risk management; identification and mitigation planning and execution.
  • Material budget development, sales forecasting and cost (EAC) management; EVMS if applicable.
  • Cross functional coordination as it pertains to supplier management, specifically with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Procurement, and the Operations IPT.
  • Briefing Program and Executive management and Customer on the status and issues affecting Supplier performance and cost.
  • Developing and reporting on Return-To-Green plans and managing suppliers to complete recoveries in support of contract requirements.
  • Recommends/collaborates on make/buy analysis and process planning, justification, and execution.
  • Analyzing lead times and identifying critical path procurement strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2
    • A bachelors degree AND 3+ years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project Management, OR a graduate degree AND 1-3 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project Management.
       
    • 4 additional years of direct experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project Management will be accepted in lieu of a bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FAR and agency supplements
  • Prior experience as a team/process/project lead
  • Experience with direct supplier management
  • Direct experience interfacing with leadership personnel
  • International/ITAR experience
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Earned Value Management/CAM experience
  • PMI familiarity/certification

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position for 1st shift. The positions standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule requires an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and an eight-hour day on working Fridays with every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
