The position reports to the Tool Crib Operations Supervisor and is responsible as a team leader for the coordination of tool crib and stockroom activities. The individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills due to the interaction with our internal customers. This employee must be resourceful, able to work with minimal supervision as well as ensure timely and cost efficient completion of departmental goals and objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Receive, store, and disburse a variety of tools and/or materials to support operations in a team oriented work environment. 2. Follow all applicable tool control processes. 3. Maintain adequate inventory levels; and ensure up-to-date, accurate records on all transactions. 4. Responsible for coordination of work activities and training of team members. 5. Assist Quality Department with tool calibrations.
Additional Functions: 1. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements: 1. Ability to read small precision measuring tools. 2. Proficient in computerized inventory control systems. 3. Demonstrated ability dealing with inside customers and outside suppliers. 4. Requires manual dexterity. 5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure up-to-date, accurate records on all transactions. 3. Ensure proper levels of stock and tools are maintained at all times. 4. Obtain needed information and process offsite tooling requests. 5. Manage broken tools. 6. Track and validate repair and return of tooling and equipment to and from tool repair. 7. Act as tool crib liaison between sites - process tool crib transfers. 8. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards 9. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. 10. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. 11. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. 12. Clean, inspect and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. 13. Must have a clean driving record 14. Must be able to operate material handling equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jack, etc.)
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Possess a valid state drivers license. Four (4) years demonstrated experience in inventory control and specialized knowledge of requirements for machine shop/tool crib operations.
