Mission of the Job

Warehouse operations and logistics

Main activities

• Warehouse daily operations (picking, packing, documentation, good receipt process, labelling, inventory control).
• Ensure Inbound and Outbound activities and internal transfer are properly executed, supervised by the Warehouse manager
• Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves
• Shipment organizations (request of quotations to couriers, DDT & shipment invoice release, pick-up organization)
• Weighing merchandise and selecting appropriate envelopes, boxes, containers, or crates in which to pack the goods to be shipped
• Contacting suppliers or distributors to resolve any shipment or delivery issues
• Thoroughly inspecting merchandise and goods for any damages and discrepancies
• Support the warehouse manager in maintaining an updated record of all goods received and distributed
• Checking (if applicable) of export control rules via Warehouse Manager
• Support to KPIs warehouse indicators
• Support the warehouse manager to measure the customer satisfaction and internal performances for customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the interface between the several internal and external services.
• Support the identification of new opportunities and support to implement digital initiatives for continuous improvements
• Support an inclusive, engaged and collaborative culture

Education/Training:

• Knowledge in warehouse and logistics processes
• Knowledge of fundamentals required in Production and Maintenance according to Health, Safety & Environment rules.
• Knowledge of basics of Quality regulations (ISO9100)
• Knowledge of export control regulation

Experience:

• At least 2 years of work experience warehouse management role
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Forklift license (desirable)
• Ability to optimize the warehouse layout and manage material handling and other operational stock / warehouse activities.
• Ability to organize a warehouse and flows inside the warehouse to perform the warehousing activities.
• Capability of stock and kit sizing according to Production forecast & planning specifications

Tool or product requirements:

• SAP basic knowledge
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

Languages:

• Italian (mother tongue)
• English medium desirable
