Job Profile Vista Aircraft Maintenance is currently looking for a Line Service Technician/Aircraft Detailer to support all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews, and passengers and maintaining aircraft appearance. And will also support other departments: Charter, Aircraft Maintenance and Facilities. This position is based in Van Nuys, California.
Vista Aircraft Maintenance Van Nuys is an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station, offering complete nose-to-tail, airframe, powerplant, and avionics care, maintenance, inspection and repair services. The company serves as a dedicated maintenance provider for the Vista fleet
Line Service Technician / Aircraft Detailer Responsibilities
- Marshall and wingwalk aircraft
- Service aircraft lavatory and potable water service
- Load/unload baggage
- Clean and/or detail aircraft exterior and interior
- Tow aircraft upon successful completion of training
- De-Fuel and Fuel aircraft in accordance with ATA specifications 103
- Perform daily ramp checks to ensure aircraft are chocked, locked and secure
- Perform scheduled checklists/audits/inspections as assigned
- Assist pilots with aircraft Pre and Post flight services
- Operate, inspect & perform general maintenance of ground support equipment
- Assist other departments as required including facility cleaning and other tasks as assigned
- Provide basic security to people and property
- Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area
Required education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License (restricted licenses are not valid for employment at JetWorx)
- Pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing, background checks and submit to random testing when required
- Complete NATA Safety First, JetWorx and other job related training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone, email and in writing
- Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner
- Must be available to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and overtime when required
- Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuuming
- Ability to work without direct management supervision
- Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs and fuel trucks, scissor lifts
- Lifting baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75 pounds
- Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 pounds
- Bending below wings to chock aircraft
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time, running when required
- Good hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision

The compensation range for this position is $44,000-$52,000+.
