A&P Aviation Maintenance Instructor

Full time: 7:00 am - 4:00 Mon-Fri

US Aviation Academy is a FAA Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic school with new facilities in San Marcos, Texas. As one of our instructors, you will be shaping the next generation of A&Ps that the industry so desperately needs in a growing and unique school setting

Basic Job Requirements

• A&P Certification
• 3 Years of recent aviation maintenance experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and etc.
• Clean driving record
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be able to follow school and FAA part 147 procedures and regulations
• Punctuality
• Instruct students with varying backgrounds and ages
• Instruct and control classes of up to 25 students in a shop/lab, hangar, airport and classroom environment
• Prepare and demonstrate proper aviation tool usage and safety practices
• Prepare projects, lessons, tests, quizzes and grade
• May require work outside of normal hours and a flexible schedule
• Be able to lift 50 pounds, work in and around aircraft in various positions
