Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. The ideal candidate will ensure all work is completed in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft in accordance with technical data and FAA regulations.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Ensure accurate aircraft logbook entries and release aircraft for return to service.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly.
- Flexible to work various shifts as needed.
Equipment & Working Conditions:
- Use of various shop equipment, tools, and general office equipment.
- Exposure to solvents, aviation gasoline, and other environmental factors.
- Work both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to aircraft, simulators, and equipment.
- Medium lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required.
- Periods of standing, bending, or sitting may be needed.
