A&P Mechanic
What You'll Do:
• Collaborate with engineers in the development and implementation of electromechanical
systems, focusing on functional tests for aircraft systems.
• Perform on- and off-aircraft assembly and modifications to electrical components,
including wire harness fabrication, connector terminations, component removal, routing,
installation, and repairs.
• Conduct continuity checks, operational checks, system verification, and troubleshooting
for various aircraft systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Interpret and utilize engineering and technical information, including modification
drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, part lists, kits,
and ground support/test equipment.
• Support and develop continuous improvement efforts within the department to enhance
efficiency and performance.
What You Need:
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry.
• Experience in assembling, installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and modifying aircraft
mechanical and electrical systems.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Familiarity with functional testing procedures, including interpreting test specifications
and executing them from component to full aircraft level.
• Ability to work with shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling, such as torque
wrenches, crimping, and stripping tools.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, including ISO and AS9100 requirements,
with an emphasis on aircraft safety, tool control, and FOD prevention.
• Proficiency in using Google Suite and other software for documentation and
communication.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to meet project
needs.
• Must have visual acuity and be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Bonus Qualifications:
• Experience with aircraft certification and FAA conformity processes.
