We are seeking an experienced Full-Time AMT+IA to join our dynamic team! The Aviation Maintenance Technician + IA is directly responsible to the Lead Technician for the maintenance and repair of the avionics and mechanical equipment needed to make aircraft operate safely.  The AMT+IA is also responsible and accountable for the Annual Inspections in accordance with FAA regulations. In doing so, shall manage the duties and responsibilities of the position to the best of your ability and take ownership in each of the company’s focus areas to the greatest extent possible in all you endeavor.

Required Duties:

  • Responsible and accountable for the Annual Inspections in accordance with FAA laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for the performance of general avionics and mechanical equipment repair on aircraft and related systems.
  • Repairing, inspecting, and maintaining the structural, mechanical, and electronic elements of the aircraft.
  • Replacing parts, measuring wear, and assessing whether parts need repair or replacement.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft and determining airworthiness is crucial to this role.
  • Assist in maintaining aircraft standards as required by Galvin Flying policies and procedures, manufacturer guidance as well as applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Make entries into maintenance logs & work orders.
  • Perform ground runs and functional testing of systems.
  • Uphold a high standard of workmanship in all duties assigned
  • Act as a mentor/teacher to our Apprentices and less experienced mechanics.
  • Be a source of information to the shop floor employees.

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
  • Must possess a current A&P license.
  • Must have/maintain an Inspector Authorization issued by the FAA.
  • Must bring your own tools.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA regulations, and maintenance safety standards.
  • Ability to be coachable and receive feedback to support career development.
  • Maintain professional appearance and display strong work ethic.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent workmanship
  • Advanced skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics 
    systems.
  • Advanced skills in airframe/sheet metal fabrication and repair.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of TFBO, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
Salary Range: $29/hr-$40/hr (DOE)
