The Opportunity -

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

BDA is looking for a Maintenance Operations Planning Analyst who will join the AH-64 Apache team. The team support flight line operations and deeper maintenance work to ensure the customers operational outcomes are achieved. Join the team and be an integral part of the Apache capability.

This role is based in Townsville, North Queensland.

As a Maintenance Operations Planning Analyst within BDA, you will

  • Maintains planning and data quality for the Apache maintenance organisation.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Documentation (AMD) archiving.
  • Developing work packages for the maintenance organisation.
  • Reviews and/or finalises statements of work for each scheduled maintenance task based on available aircraft ground time, task complexity and available resources.
  • Validates aircraft, parts and materials are scheduled and routed per plan.
  • Reconciles maintenance plans to accommodate operational events.
  • Leads maintenance planning briefings within the operational unit.
  • Supports maintenance planning briefings with external Apache stakeholders.
  • Assists in the ongoing Internal Quality Auditing processes.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A strong background and an in-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance.
  • Previous Maintenance Controller / Planner experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Be familiar with maintenance planning requirements, including maintenance planning software programs such as cMRO, CAMM2, SAP or similar programs.
  • Skills to develop and implement new policies, and maintenance programs that will enhance maintenance operations.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
